Terms of service

Wayward Route provides trip-planning suggestions for recreational travel in the United States. You must be at least 18 to create an account or buy a plan. Keep your sign-in details secure and use the service lawfully.

What you receive

Guests and free accounts can create up to five previews per month, with additional network and short-term limits to prevent abuse. A $79 Trip unlock gives the purchasing account the full itinerary and PDF for one saved route, date and pace revisions, available campground alternatives, a private booking checklist, and companion sharing. Different origin or destination endpoints require a new trip. Wayward Route Annual costs $129 per year and, while active, removes the preview limit and lets the account unlock all trips it creates. Existing unlocked trips remain available after annual cancellation while the account remains open. Prices are in U.S. dollars; applicable taxes, if any, are shown at checkout.

Annual renewal and cancellation

The annual plan renews automatically for $129 each year until canceled. You can cancel at any time from Account → Manage billing in the Stripe customer portal, or email support@waywardroute.com if the portal is unavailable. There is no cancellation fee. Cancellation stops future renewal and annual access continues through the paid period. A Trip unlock is a one-time purchase and does not renew. Planning limits

Plans are suggestions, not reservations, turn-by-turn navigation, or a guarantee that a road or campsite fits your vehicle. Campground availability, road restrictions, weather, fuel stops, opening hours, and published rig limits can change. Newly generated or revised itineraries calculate driving through selected campgrounds, with optional stops and outings excluded and break allowances shown separately. Older plans may exclude campground access until revised. A preferred daily driving time is a target; days exceeding it are flagged. Check official campground and road information, your vehicle specifications, and conditions before booking or driving. Links to booking sites take you to independent services; Wayward Route does not make bookings or control their terms.

Use of the service

You may use your plans for personal travel planning. Up to 30 revisions per day are supported; contact support if you need more. Do not probe other accounts, interfere with the service, automate excessive requests, or copy the catalog for resale. We may suspend access for misuse or security reasons. We may change or discontinue features, but we will honor paid access and refund rights described here to the extent required by law.

Service and responsibility

We work to provide useful plans, but routes, content, and availability can be incomplete or inaccurate. Use independent judgment for travel and safety decisions. To the extent permitted by law, Wayward Route is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on third-party data, road conditions, bookings, or travel decisions. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
